Overview
Ten minutes north of Ubud, the estate follows a ridge above the Ayung gorge, and every villa faces the river or the rice terraces on the opposite bank. Wellness is the point here: a resident Balinese healer, a yoga shala cantilevered over the valley, a spa using produce from the estate's own gardens, and three to seven night programmes for sleep, stress and movement. Nobody is made to participate; the pool villas, the two restaurants and the river club are as good as any in Bali for guests who want to do nothing. Children over twelve are welcome. We recommend at least four nights to let the place work.
