Overview
Ithaa sits in the far north of the Maldives, a forty minute seaplane flight from Malé, and the distance is the point. The island is nine hundred metres end to end with forty five villas, every one with its own pool, and a house reef that drops away thirty metres from the overwater decks. Between May and November manta rays feed in the channel most mornings and the resident marine biologist will tell you when to be in the water. There are three restaurants, one of them a wine cellar for eight, and a spa built over the lagoon. Families are welcome, but the island's quiet makes it a natural honeymoon and anniversary choice. We have placed clients here for six years and the general manager still writes to us after each stay.
