Overview
Aurore is on the Winkelmatten side of Zermatt, a two minute walk from the Matterhorn Express gondola and far enough up the slope that the mountain fills the living room windows. Six bedrooms sleep twelve, all en suite. The staff of four includes a chef who cooks breakfast, afternoon tea and a four course dinner six nights a week, a host, a housekeeper and a ski butler who has your boots warm and your skis at the lift. The wellness floor has a fifteen metre indoor pool, a sauna, a hammam and a massage room. In summer the chalet is available at roughly half the winter rate and the hiking from the door is exceptional. Zermatt is car free; arrival is by train or by helicopter to the heliport.
